Google's AdSense Terms do not allow you to transfer, sell, or assign your account to someone else. An AdSense account is tied to a specific person's identity, tax details, and payment profile — it is not a transferable asset the way a domain or a theme is.

Because of that, a "sold" account is not really yours. You would be operating under someone else's identity and agreement, which is exactly the situation those terms are written to catch.

03What actually happens when you buy one

The problem is not only the terms — it is what tends to go wrong in practice:

• Termination: an account showing a sudden change in owner, site, or traffic pattern can be disabled, often without warning and with little recourse.
• No ownership: the payment profile, email, and identity belong to the seller. If they change the password or the account is banned, you have nothing to point to as "mine."
• Outright scams: many of these listings simply take the payment and disappear, or resell the same account to several buyers.
• Held earnings: if an account is terminated for a policy or invalid-activity reason, any pending balance is typically withheld — so the "shortcut" can cost more than it ever pays.

The uncomfortable truth is that the only account that stays yours is one approved on your own site, under your own identity. It is slower, but it is the only version that cannot be switched off by a stranger or flagged on day one.

And the gap is usually smaller than it feels. Most rejections trace to a short list of fixable signals — missing trust pages, a crawl blocker, thin content — not to something that requires buying your way around the review.
